NHL: Detroit 5, Dallas 2

DETROIT, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Johan Franzen scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period Saturday, propelling the Detroit Red Wings to a 5-2 win over Dallas.

Franzen added an assist while Darren Helm and Brad Stuart also found the net in the final period as the Red Wings notched their fourth straight victory.

Niklas Kronwall and Brenden Morrow also scored. Jimmy Howard made 25 saves for the Wings.

Dallas, meanwhile, lost its second straight following a four-game winning streak despite goals from Loui Erisksson and Ian White.

Stars goalie Andrew Raycroft made 35 saves.
