SINGAPORE, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- James Morrison was 4-under in his last eight holes and owns a one-stroke lead after Friday's play at the European Tour's Barclays Singapore Open.

Play was suspended for nearly three hours because of a storm and then stopped because of darkness with about half the field still on two courses.

The Singapore Open is contested on the Serapong and Tanjong courses at the Sentosa Golf Club, with contenders playing each venue in the opening two rounds and the final two rounds on the tougher Serapong course.

Morrison had an opening-round 9-under 62 at Tonjong Thursday and followed that with a 3-under 68 at Serapong Friday for a 36-hole total of 12-under 130.

Edoardo Molinari, who was tied with Morrison after Thursday's play, is 2-under after 10 holes in his second round and is at 11-under. Juvic Pagunsan posted a second consecutive 66 and is at 10-under 132 after 36 holes. Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano is 5-under through second-round first nine and is also at 10-under for the tournament.

Morrison opened his day with a bogey and, after a birdie at No. 7 and a bogey at the ninth, was 1-over at the turn. He got back to even with a birdie at No. 11 and had consecutive birdies at 13 and 14 before an 18th-hole birdie put him into the lead alone.
