PHOENIX, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Willie Bloomquist agreed to a two-year contract with the National League club Wednesday.

Bloomquist hit .266 with 26 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 97 games in 2011 when he became the starting shortstop after a season-ending ankle injury to Stephen Drew in July.

He's a .264 career hitter in 10 seasons with Seattle, Kansas City, Cincinnati and the Diamondbacks.
