RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Jamie Benn scored twice and Loui Eriksson helped out with three assists Sunday in the Dallas Stars' 5-2 victory over Carolina.

Stephane Robidas, Michael Ryder and Eric Nystrom also scored for the Pacific Division-leading Stars, who began a four-game road trip with their fourth win in five contests.

Kari Lehtonen made 30 saves to earn the victory.

The Hurricanes, meanwhile, lost for the sixth time in eight games despite goals from Tuomo Ruutu and Chad LaRose.

Carolina's Cam Ward started in goal but was pulled 3:47 into the second period after yielding four goals on 14 shots.

Brian Boucher replaced him and stopped 12-of-13 shots the rest of the way.
