LANDOVER, Md., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Frank Gore rushed for over 100 yards for the fifth straight week Sunday, sparking the San Francisco 49ers' 19-11 victory over Washington.

Gore compiled 107 yards on 19 carries, becoming the first player in San Francisco franchise history to record five consecutive 100-yard rushing performances.

Alex Smith threw for 200 yards and a touchdown and David Akers connected on four field goals as the 49ers (7-1) collected a sixth straight win for the first time since an 11-game streak in 1997.

The Redskins, meanwhile, dropped their fourth straight and fell to 3-5.

John Beck went 30-of-47 through the air for 254 yards, a touchdown and an interception, while Roy Helu made 14 grabs for 105 yards and added 41 rushing yards on 10 carries in the loss.
