

TAICHUNG, Taiwan, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Josh Reddick had a pair of doubles and scored two runs Thursdays in helping the U.S. Major Leaguers to a 5-3 victory over the Chinese Taipei national team.
Major League Baseball sent a team to Taiwan for a five-game series against the Chinese Taipei national team. MLB won the first game 7-0 Tuesday. The teams are scheduled to play the next three days.
Reddick, a Boston outfielder, doubled to open the seventh and eventually scored on a wild pitch for a run that broke a 3-3 tie. New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano doubled in another run later in the inning to account for the final score.
The Yankees' Curtis Granderson, who hit a grand slam in Tuesday's game, knocked in Los Angeles Angels shortstop Erick Aybar with a fielder's choice in the first inning and Reddick led off the third with a double and scored on an error that made the score 2-0.
Chinese Taipei knocked Washington Nationals pitched Ross Detwiler for back-to-back doubles, with Chih-Pei Huang getting the first Chinese Taipei RBI is the series, in the fourth inning. Chinese Taipei took the lead in the fifth on RBI singles from Han Lin and Chun-Hsiu Chen.
But MLB tied the score in sixth with a run-scoring single from New York Mets catcher Ronny Paulino.
