
LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Uncle Moe and Havre de Grace lead the 13-horse field for this weekend's $5 million Breeders' Cub Classic, race officials announced Monday.
The Classic will conclude this year's, $26 million, 15-race World Championships being held Friday and Saturday at Churchill Downs. This is the fifth year the Breeders' Cup will be held over two days, with six races run Friday and nine Saturday.
Havre de Grace, a 4-year-old filly who has been the top thoroughbred the last two months, is the 3-1 second choice behind 5-2 favorite Uncle Mo, a 3-year-old colt, for the 1 1/4-mile Classic.
Here is the field in post position order: Prayer for Relief, Rafael Bejarano, 30-1; Flat Out, Alex Solis, 6-1; Drosselmeyer, Mike Smith, 15-1; Ruler On Ice, Garrett Gomez, 30-1; So You Think, Ryan Moore, 5-1; Ice Box, Corey Nakatani, 30-1; Rattlesnake Bridge, Calvin Borel, 30-1; Game On Dude, Chantal Sutherland, 10-1; Stay Thirsty, Javier Castellano, 12-1; Havre de Grace, Ramon Dominguez, 3-1; Headache, Paco Lopez, 30-1; Uncle Mo, John Velazquez, 5-2; and To Honor and Serve, Jose Lezcano, 12-1.
