COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Steve Mason turned aside 19 shots and Ryan Johansen scored the go-ahead goal for Columbus Sunday in the Blue Jackets' 3-1 win over Anaheim.
Mason made 10 saves during the second period after Johansen's backhand flip to the short side beat Ducks goalie Dan Ellis for a 2-1 lead.
Anaheim went on two consecutive power plays following Johansen's goal but Mason came up big, stopping several Ducks scoring chances to preserve the lead.
Fedor Tyutun's slap shot with 7 minutes remaining gave Columbus an insurance goal and Rick Nash added a power-play marker as the Blue Jackets (2-9-1) recorded just their second win of the year.
Ellis ended with 18 saves and Bobby Ryan scored for the Ducks, who fell to 1-4-1 in their last six games.
