DENVER, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Matt Duchene scored the go-ahead goal in the third period Sunday and the Colorado Avalanche logged their first home win of the year, 3-2 over Los Angeles.
With the score tied 2-2 early in the frame, Duchene used a Kings defenseman as a screen and fired a wrist shot past Jonathan Quick into the upper corner of the net.
