NFL: Houston 24, Jacksonville 14

HOUSTON, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Matt Schaub threw for one touchdown and ran for another Sunday, propelling the Houston Texans to a 24-14 win over Jacksonville.

Schaub rushed 2 yards up the middle in the first quarter for the game's initial score and the Texans (5-3) never trailed after that.

The Houston quarterback hooked up with Joel Dreessen on a 7-yard scoring strike in the third for a 14-7 advantage and finished the day 16-of-30 through the air for 225 yards and no interceptions.

Arian Foster rushed for 112 yards and a score on 33 carries and Kevin Walter made four grabs for 70 yards in the Texans' win.

Blaine Gabbert managed only 97 yards on 10-for-30 passing efficiency with a touchdown and two interceptions for the Jaguars (2-6).
