NHL: Ottawa 5, N.Y. Rangers 4 (SO)

NEW YORK, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Milan Michalek capped a comeback with a late equalizer and notched the only shootout goal Saturday in Ottawa's 5-4 win over the New York Rangers.

Trailing 4-1 midway through the final frame, the Senators mounted a rally.

Jason Spezza notched goals only 3 1/2 minutes apart, with the second coming on a power play after New York's Wojtek Wolski was whistled for a minor penalty.

Michalek pulled the Senators even with 2:50 remaining in the regulation and then scored the only goal of the shootout, handing Ottawa a fifth straight win for the first time in two years.

Craig Anderson stopped 24-of-28 shots, including three in the scoreless overtime period, Chris Neil scored and Filip Kuba added three assists for Ottawa.

Brad Richards notched two goals and Marian Gaborik added a marker and two assists for the Rangers.

New York's Henrik Lundqvist made 36 saves.
