
GLENDALE, Ariz., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Trevor Daley's goal in the eighth round of the shootout Tuesday helped the Dallas Stars to a 3-2 victory over Phoenix.
Daley and Michael Ryder scored for the Stars in the shootout, capping a rally in which Dallas tied the game with 61 seconds to play in regulation on a goal by Adam Burish, off an assist from behind the net by Ray Whitney.
Kari Lehtonen made 33 saves for the Stars and stopped four shots in the shootout. The Coyotes had a goal from Patrick Sullivan in the shootout but also missed on three shots.
The Coyotes' Shane Done scored his 300th career goal at 8:13 of the third period. Raffi Torres scored in the first period and Mike Smith made 34 saves.
Sheldon Souray scored a power-play goal for Dallas at 12:22 of the first period to knot the score 1-1.
