ARLINGTON, Texas, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Major League Baseball operations chief Joe Torre said Sunday he will look into admissions Boston Red Sox players drank in the clubhouse during games.
Torre, speaking to reporters in Arlington, Texas, before Sunday's Game 4 of the World Series, said the admissions of game-time beer drinking by Red Sox pitchers Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz had him "concerned," The Boston Globe reported.
"It's something we're concerned about, just to make sure that we get all the facts and that's my area," Torre said. "I know I have plans just to talk to some people.
"It's something we're going to look at and find the best way to approach it, let's put it that way," Torre added.
He told the Globe baseball officials may consider a clubhouse alcohol ban throughout the game.
The Red Sox are one of a dozen major league teams that allow alcohol in the clubhouse.
