EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Mark Sanchez and Plaxico Burress hooked up for three touchdown passes Sunday and the New York Jets rallied for a 27-21 victory over San Diego.

The Jets found themselves trailing 21-10 at halftime but ran off the next 17 points to pull away and rack up their second straight win.

Sanchez hit Burress on scoring strikes of 4 and 3 yards 11 minutes apart in the second half, complementing the pair's 3-yard scoring play in the second quarter.

Sanchez finished 18-of-33 through the air for 173 yards while Shonn Green rushed for 112 yards on 20 carries for New York (4-3), which won at home for the seventh time in eight contests.

Philip Rivers completed 16-of-32 pass attempts for 179 yards, one touchdown and a pair of interceptions for the Chargers (4-2), who saw their three-game winning streak snapped.
