MOSCOW, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Serbs Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki will meet in the Kremlin Cup finals after posting victories in their semifinal matches Saturday.
The second-seeded Troicki ousted Jeremy Chardy of France 6-4, 6-4, and top-seeded Tipsarevic followed with a 6-2, 7-5 win over three-time Kremlin Cup champion Nikolay Davydenko of Russia.
Sunday will mark Troicki's second final of the year. Tipsarevic is 1-3 in finals this year with his lone win coming at the Malaysia Open three weeks ago.
Tipsarevic trailed in the second set but came back to win the 10th game and broke the Russian's serve in the next game.
Troicki's match was tight as well with no breaks in the first eight games of the first and second sets. He was down 4-5, 0-40 in the second set and facing the task of playing a third set, but made a stunning turnaround.
"I knew I had to concentrate on my return games and I was happy I was able to do that," Troicki said. "It was tough to break him."
