DETROIT, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Doctors performing a physical on Detroit Lions running back Jerome Harrison discovered a brain tumor that voided his trade to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The tumor was discovered during a routine physical after the trade was initiated Tuesday, NFL.com reported. The trade was to send Ronnie Brown to Detroit for Harrison and a 2013 draft pick, but the transaction was voided by the medical discovery.

The Eagles medical staff is known for being extremely thorough in diagnosing neurological conditions and the tumor likely would not have been found without the trade, NFL.com said.
