CHESTER, Pa., Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Ryan Johnson scored from in close during the second half Saturday in bringing Toronto a 1-1 tie with Philadelphia.

Philadelphia clinched a playoff berth, but the single point it picked up left it tied for the lead in the Eastern Conference with Kansas City. Toronto, with just six wins all season, has been eliminated from playoff contention.

Philadelphia took the lead in the 43rd minute when Sebastien Le Toux scored from outside the penalty area.

Johnson's goal came after he escaped the Philadelphia defense and took a crossing pass from Nick Soolsma.

Philadelphia's final game of the regular season will come next Thursday against New York. Kansas City will meet D.C. United two days later.
