Vikings fullback Felton charged with DWI
FRISCO, Texas, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Goals by Martin Chavez and Brek Shea lifted playoff-bound Dallas to a 2-0 win over Vancouver Saturday.
Dallas had already clinched a post-season berth and the victory brought about a third-place tie with Real Salt Lake in the Western Conference. The last regular-season game for Dallas will be against San Jose while Salt Lake must face Portland, a team with playoff ambitions.
Chavez scored his sixth goal of the season in the 35th minute. Shea blasted a first-time volley from in close past Joe Cannon in the 54th minute.
Vancouver had won its previous two games, but has only six victories for the year. Dallas has won two straight following a four-game losing streak.
