BRIDGEVIEW, Ill., Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Goals by Jackson and Danny Cruz lifted FC Dallas into the playoffs Wednesday with a 2-1 win over Chicago.

Dallas ended a four-game losing streak and wrapped up no worse than a wild-card post-season spot. Dallas also moved within two points of Real Salt Lake for third place in the Western Conference with two games remaining in the regular season.

Jackson opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, taking advantage of a weak defensive effort by the Fire. A throw-in by Dallas got past the Chicago back line of defense and Jackson easily scored from inside the penalty area.

Cruz scored in the 53rd minute off a corner kick from Ricardo Villar. The Chicago goal came from Sebastian Grazzini in the 86th minute.

Chicago suffered its first loss in five games and remained six points behind Houston for the final playoff berth in MLS.
