Vikings fullback Felton charged with DWI

DENVER, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Ty Conklin earned his 17th career shutout Saturday, stopping 29 shots for Detroit in the Red Wings' 3-0 whitewash of Colorado.
Johan Franzen, Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk provided the offense for the Red Wings, who have won two straight to start the season.
Colorado's loss came on a night when the team retired the No. 21 jersey of retired superstar Peter Forsberg in a pregame ceremony.
Semyon Varlamov turned aside 36-of-39 shots for the Avalanche.
