ST. LOUIS, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- David Legwand racked up four points on a pair of goals and two assists Saturday, helping the Nashville Predators defeat St. Louis 4-2 in the Blues' home opener.

The Predators took their second straight road game to start the season, getting goals from Craig Smith and Kevin Klein as well.

Pekka Rinne overcame a bout of the flu to turn aside 31-of-33 shots for Nashville.

Patrik Berglund and newly acquired Jason Arnott scored for the Blues.

Jaroslav Halak, who shut out the Preds three times last season, struggled against them Saturday, saving just 12-of-15 shots.
