MILWAUKEE, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Jonathan Lucroy's RBI on a suicide squeeze triggered a big sixth inning Sunday that carried Milwaukee to a 9-4 win over Arizona in NL divisional series play.
With the score tied 4-4 in the sixth, Jerry Hairston Jr. led off with a double off Arizona starter Daniel Hudson (0-1), and went third on a balk by reliever Brad Ziegler.
One batter later, Hairston broke for home and Lucroy laid down a perfect bunt to the right of Ziegler, who threw wildly to home.
That opened the doors to four more runs as the Brewers collected consecutive run-scoring hits from Corey Hart, Nyger Morgan and Ryan Braun (3-for-4, three RBI), grabbing a commanding 2-0 lead in their best-of-five NL Division Series against the Diamondbacks.
Braun cracked a two-run homer and Takashi Saito (1-0) earned the victory for Milwaukee.
Hudson yielded five runs on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings and Justin Upton clubbed a two-run homer for the Diamondbacks, who will look to avoid a sweep when they host Game 3 Tuesday in Phoenix.
