Edwards breezes to Dover Nationwide win

DOVER, Del., Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Carl Edwards led for 179 of 200 laps Saturday, breezing to a victory at the Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway.

Edwards racked up his seventh win of the season and the 36th of his Nationwide career.

He dominated the race and finished 0.8 seconds ahead of his fellow Sprint Cup Series competitor, Brad Keselowski.

Claiming third place was Clint Bowyer, while Kasey Kahne and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. rounded out the Top 5.

Stenhouse boosted his lead in the Nationwide standings to 22 points over Elliott Sadler, who came in 14th Saturday.
