SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Kevin Kouzmanoff went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI Wednesday and the Colorado Rockies won their final game of the season, downing San Francisco 6-3.
Kouzamanoff's run-scoring single in the fifth inning put the Rockies up 3-0 and he blunted a Giants' comeback try with a seventh-inning RBI double, allowing Colorado to avoid a sweep in its season-ending, three-game set.
Jordan Pacheco drove in two runs for the Rockies, who had 13 hits and finished their season at 73-89, fourth in the National League West.
Drew Pomeranz (2-1) went 5 2/3 innings to claim the victory, allowing three runs on six hits. The rookie left-hander didn't issue a walk and fanned three.
San Francisco's Eric Surkamp (2-2) was touched for four runs on eight hits over 4 2/3 innings.
Mark DeRosa provided a two-run single for the defending world champion Giants, who finished 2011 with an 86-76 record, 8 1/2 games out of first in the NL West.
