LONDON, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's title win at the Moselle Open in his native France boosted his world ranking three spots to No. 7.

Tsonga defeated Ivan Ljubicic in three sets Sunday in picking up his first tournament championship since 2009. He'd advanced to two finals previously this year.

The Moselle win lifted Tsonga from 10th to seventh in the rankings. It's his best showing since his career-hest No. 6 ranking early in 2009.

Novak Djokovic, who is due to return to the court next week in Beijing, is No. 1, a position he's held for 14 weeks. His 14,720 ranking points guarantees he'll be there for some time.

Rafael Nadal, with 10,620 points, is ranked second and Roger Federer (8,380) is third while Andy Murray (7,165) remains fourth. Those four are the only players who have qualified for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. They also dominated the major tournaments, winning 14 of the 16 semifinals slots.

No. 5 David Ferrer has 4,200 points and Robin Soderling is sixth at 3,770.

Tsonga has 2,870 points but the players he passed in the rankings -- knocking each down one peg -- are close behind. No. 8 Mardy Fish has 2,820 points while Gael Monfils (2,780) is ninth and Tomas Berdych (2,775) is 10th.

Murray and Monfils are in the draw at this week's PTT Thailand Open.

Last week's other ATP winner was Florian Mayer in Romania. He moved from 24th to No. 22 in the rankings.
