CARSON, Calif., Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Juan Pablo Angel scored twice for Chivas USA Saturday and the Goats' defense was airtight in a 3-0 win over Toronto FC.
Justin Braun got Chivas' other goal.
The loss ended a two-game win streak for Toronto and was the Goats' first win in seven matches.
Angel's first score in the 12th minute came on a diving header on a cross from Ante Jazic that Toronto goalie Stefan Frei touched but could not stop from trickling into the goal.
Braun made it 2-0 in the 71st minute, heading home a cross from Michael Umana.
Angel then finished up the scoring 6 minutes later, curling a shot just inside the far post after hauling in a through ball from Ben Zemanski.
The Goats are in seventh place in the Western Conference, four points back of Red Bull New York for the final wild card playoff spot.
Toronto is tied with the Chicago Fire for seventh place in the East.
