MLS: Los Angeles 1, Columbus 0

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Chad Barrett's goal 3 minutes into injury time Saturday delivered a 1-0 Los Angeles Galaxy win over the Columbus Crew.

Barrett scored off a rebound of a shot by Landon Donovan. It was his fifth goal of the season and gave Los Angeles its MLS-best 17th win.

The Galaxy (17-3-10), who have won eight of their last 10 games, were without David Beckham and Robbie Keane.

Columbus (11-11-8) lost for the fourth time in its last five games to fall out off first place in the Eastern Conference.
