WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Dwayne De Rosario scored three times and assisted on a fourth goal Saturday, fueling a 4-1 D.C. United victory over Real Salt Lake.

The loss ended Real Salt Lake's five-game win streak.

After assisting on Andy Najar's goal in the 13th minute, De Rosario followed with goals in the 22nd, 27th and 31st minutes. He now has 13 goals this season, 10 with United, two with New York and one with Toronto.

Alvaro Saborio's 10th goal of the season was Salt Lake's only score.

D.C. United (9-8-11) won for just the fourth time at home all season and trails Eastern Conference-leading Houston by four points.

Real Salt Lake (15-8-6) fell further behind Western Conference-leading Los Angeles.
