WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Chien-Ming Wang tossed six solid innings and drove in a run with an RBI single Saturday, leading Washington to a 4-1 win over Atlanta.

Wang (4-3) allowed only one run, surrendering four hits while issuing no walks and striking out four for the Nationals.

Tom Gorzelanny and Tyler Clippard followed with one scoreless frame each and Drew Storen racked up his 41st save in the ninth as Washington evened its three-game series at one win apiece.

Danny Espinoza's two-run single in the fourth put the Nats ahead 3-0 and he came around to score on Wang's base hit.

Brandon Beachy (7-3) was touched for four runs on five hits on a six-inning start for the National League wild card-leading Braves, who saw their lead over St. Louis dwindle to two games with four contests remaining.
