HOUSTON, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- A second-straight four RBI game by Carlos Lee Friday helped Houston overwhelm Colorado 11-2 and hand the Rockies their ninth straight loss.
Lee highlighted a five-run opening inning with a two-run double, singled in another run in the fourth and delivered another in the fifth with a groundout.
Houston pounded out 14 hits, one of them a solo homer by Clint Barmes in the sixth. The Astros have won four out of six.
The offensive show made things easy for Brett Myers (7-13), who allowed a run on four hits over six innings to get the victory.
Drew Pomeranz (1-1) made it through only two innings, suffering the loss after surrendering six runs on seven hits. Colorado's last victory came on Sept. 14 against newly crowned National League Central champion Milwaukee.
