SEOUL, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Third-seeded Julia Goerges was one of four straight-set winners Thursday as the quarterfinals were set for the Hansol Korea Open tennis tournament.

She'll next go against sixth-seeded Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez, who advanced to the quarterfinals with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win over Kristyna Pliskova. Martinez Sanchez dropped serve once in each set.

Vera Dushevina ousted Alexandra Dulgheru 6-3, 6-1, winning about two-thirds of the points on serve, and Galina Voskoboeva edged by Iveta Benesova 6-4, 6-4 in a match that took nearly two hours. Dushevina and Voskoboeva will meet in Friday's quarterfinals.

In quarterfinals set Wednesday, fourth-seeded Dominika Cibulkova goes against No. 5-seeded Polona Hercog and Klara Zakopalova faces Vania King.
