MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Adam Kennedy's infield single in the seventh inning proved to be the difference in the Seattle Mariners' 5-4 victory over Minnesota Tuesday.

Kennedy hit a dribbler to the mound that allowed Kyle Seager to score, breaking a 4-4 tie and sending the Twins to their 10th straight loss. Kennedy's hit was one of 13 for the Mariners, who have won four of their last six games.

Jason Vargas earned the victory with four runs -- three earned -- on nine hits. Brandon League notched his 35th save.

Mike Carp went 5-for-5 with an RBI and Alex Liddi socked a two-run homer. Ichiro Suzuki chipped in with a triple and scored a run.

Minnesota knocked out a dozen hits and benefitted from three Seattle errors but left 10 runners on base and was 3-for-16 with runners in scoring position.

Ben Revere had four hits and an RBI for the Twins. Brian Duensing (9-14) was hung with the loss after giving up the winning run in the seventh.
