METZ, France, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Xavier Malisse used a final-game break to finish off a three-set win Tuesday at the Moselle Open tennis tournament in France.

Malisse, the tournament's No. 6 seed, got past Michael Berrer 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. Berrer had three double faults on the day, with the third putting Malisse at match point, which he converted.

Malisse pounded out 12 aces and had to deal with just two break-point situations. Both players won more than 70 percent of the points on serve and Malisse won just one more -- 82-81 -- point over the course of the match.

Nicolas Mahut was on the court 61 minutes in taking a 6-3, 6-2 win over Diego Junqueira and Olivier Rochus beat Stephane Robert 6-1, 6-3 while wild-card entrant Benoit Paire was a 7-5, 6-2 winner over Andrey Golubev.

Tuesday's other three matches were all won by qualifiers. Mathieu Rodrigues defeated Mikhail Kukushkin 6-2, 3-6, 6-4; Igor Sijsling routed Grigor Dimitrov 6-2, 6-2; and Nicolas Renavand defeated Tobias Kamke 7-5, 6-4.
