
TORONTO, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Mark Trumbo capped a big fourth inning with a three-run homer Tuesday, sending the Los Angeles Angels to a 10-6 victory over Toronto.
Trumbo also had an RBI single, driving a total of four runs, while Alberto Callaspo went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI and Erick Aybar stole home as the Angels banged out 15 hits.
Vernon Wells drove in runs with a solo homer and an RBI double for Los Angeles, which came into the game trailing American League West-leading Texas by five games.
Joel Pineiro (7-7) allowed four runs on nine hits over six innings while issuing a pair of walks and fanning three to get the win.
Toronto's Brett Cecil (4-10), meanwhile, lasted only three innings, yielding four runs on six hits.
Mike McCoy went 3-for-5 with an RBI and Edwin Encarnacion added two RBI for the Blue Jays.
