Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft
VIRGINIA WATER, England, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Martin Kaymer moved up two spots to take the No. 4 position in the world men's golf rankings.
Kaymer, who didn't play this past weekend, jumped past Steve Stricker and Dustin Johnson. Stiricker played just two rounds before withdrawing from the BMW Championship and Johnson finished the event in a tie for 65th in the 70-player field.
With Stricker and Johnson each slipping one spot, Kaymer moves from sixth to fourth in the rankings. Those were the only changes in the Top 10 this week.
Luke Donald, who recovered from the first-round 75 to finish fourth at the BMW, is No. 1 in the world for a 17th week with a ranking-point average of 10.523. Lee Westwood, who was involved in three winning matches during the weekend in helping Great Britain and Ireland retain the Seve Trophy, is second at 8.055. Rory McIlroy is third with an average of 6.967.
Kaymer's average is 6.657, just better than Stricker's 6.636 while Johnson is 6.590.
Jason Day (5.998) holds the No. 7 spot ahead of Matt Kuchar at 5.722. Phil Mickelson (5.641) is ninth and Adam Scott (5.623) 10th.
