PITTSBURGH, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Ben Roethlisberger tossed for 298 yards and played an error-free game Sunday in the Pittsburgh Steelers' 24-0 thumping of Seattle.
Roethlisberger, who committed five of the Steelers' seven turnovers in a 35-7 drubbing against Baltimore last week, rebounded nicely Sunday, completing 22-of-30 passes with a touchdown and didn't turn the ball over.
His favorite target was Mike Wallace, who caught eight passes for 126 yards and a score, while Rashard Mendenhall rushed for 67 yards and another TD for Pittsburgh (1-1), which won its ninth straight home opener.
Seattle (0-2) couldn't get started against the Steelers' defense, managing just eight first downs.
Tarvaris Jackson gained just 159 yards on 20-of-29 attempts for the Seahawks.
