MLB: Los Angeles Angels 11, Baltimore 2

BALTIMORE, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Erick Aybar blasted two home runs while going 4-for-4 with four RBI Sunday in the Los Angeles Angels' 11-2 triumph over Baltimore.

Aybar also belted two doubles.

Howie Kendrick added three hits and drove in three runs, and Vernon Wells chipped in a two-run homer for the Angels, who banged out 15 hits.

Jered Weaver (18-7) pitched on three days' rest and lasted six innings, allowing two runs on six hits for the second-place Angels, who came into the game 4 1/2 games behind Texas in the American League West.

Baltimore's Alfredo Simon (4-9) was lit up for six runs on eight hits over five innings.
