MLB: Chicago White Sox 10, Kansas City 5

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 18 (UPI) -- A.J. Pierzynski went 4-for-5 Sunday, belting two home runs in pacing the Chicago White Sox to a 10-5 win over Kansas City.

Pierzynski drove in four runs while Paul Konerko clouted a solo homer and Brent Morel added a two-run double for the White Sox, who snapped a seven-game losing streak and salvaged one win a three-game series.

John Danks (7-12) picked up the victory despite giving up 10 hits over six innings. He yielded four runs (three earned).

Kansas City's Bruce Chen (11-8) absorbed the loss after surrendering four runs on nine hits through 5 1/3 innings.

Eric Hosmer led the Royals with three hits and an RBI, and Johnny Giavotella knocked in two runs while going 3-for-5.
