DENVER, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Brandon Belt and Chris Stewart both hit a two-run homer as part of a 13-hit attack Friday that sent San Francisco rolling over Colorado 9-1.

Cody Ross added a solo shot for the Giants, who won their sixth in a row and climbed within five games of Atlanta in the National League wild card chase. St. Louis trails Atlanta by 3 1/2.

Belt broke a scoreless tie with his homer in the fourth, Ross delivered his blast in the fifth and the Giants broke the game open with a three-run sixth. Starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner doubled home two runs in that inning and then scored on a single by Ross.

Bumgarner (12-12) allowed an unearned run on six hits in seven innings. Alex White (2-2) coughed up six runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 to take the loss. Colorado has dropped three out of four.
