
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Mike Moustakas went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI Wednesday and the Kansas City Royals completed a two-game sweep of Minnesota with a 7-3 victory.
Moustakas delivered run-scoring singles in the second and fourth innings. Salvador Perez went 2-for-4 with two RBI for the Royals, who won their fourth straight overall.
Kansas City broke the game open with three runs in the fourth, capped by Perez's run-scoring double off Liam Hendriks (0-2).
The Royals' Luke Hochevar (11-11) earned the win, allowing two runs on five hits while walking two and striking out three in six innings.
Hendriks surrendered five runs on eight hits over five innings in his second major league start.
Michael Cuddyer, Jason Kubel and Danny Valencia provided RBI for the Twins, who fell to an American League-worst 59-89 and are in danger of finishing in last place for the first time since 2000.
