LAS VEGAS, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Dozens of NBA players, including some big names, are getting in some playing time in Las Vegas this summer despite the league's lockout.

While the usual NBA summer league was lost and team owners and players union representatives are still trying to work out a deal to save the approaching 2011-12 season, well-known trainer Joe Abunassar says he has attracted more than 60 players to a Las Vegas for a so-called lockout league at the Venetian Resort.

Hosted by his IMPACT Basketball Training Academy beginning Monday, the games are to be streamed on the Internet over a two-week period.

Among the stars he's lured are Chauncey Billups, John Wall, Rashard Lewis, Mo Williams, Kyle Lowry, Jermaine O'Neal, Corey Maggette, Zach Randolph and Stephen Jackson. There also will be 2011 draft picks such as Derrick Williams, Iman Shumpert and Kawhi Leonard.

"Never before in the off-season have so many great players come together to train and play," Abunassar said. "I am thrilled to be able to provide our world-class training environment and system to so many great players."

Billups touted the games, as well.

"This will be an amazing two weeks for all of us NBA players who have been working and training hard all summer to get together and have a chance to really get after it on the court against some of the best players in the league," Billups said.
