MIAMI, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Tom Brady passed for a team-record 517 yards Monday, racking up four TD passes in the New England Patriots season-opening 38-24 win over Miami.

Brady went 32-of-48 with one interception while running the Patriots' no-huddle offense, amassing the fifth-most passing yards ever in an NFL game.

The league's reigning MVP connected on a pair of scoring strikes to Wes Welker (8 catches, 160 yards) and one each to Aaron Hernandez (7, 103) and Rob Gronkowski (6, 86).

Deion Branch made seven grabs for 93 yards as New England (1-0) shredded Miami's defense for 622 total yards of offense.

Chad Henne completed 30-of-49 passes for 416 yards, two TDs and a pick-off but was sacked four times for the Dolphins (0-1), who converted only two of their 14 third-down opportunities.

Brandon Marshall hauled down seven passes for 139 yards.
