Tim Hightower bulled into the end zone on a 1-yard run and Grossman found Anthony Armstrong on a 6-yard scoring strike to produce a 14-14 tie at halftime.

The Redskins' signal caller also hooked up with Jabar Gaffney late in the game after the rookie linebacker Kerrigan tipped an Eli Manning pass to himself and ran it in for a go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter.

The injury-riddled Giants (0-1) got a 6-yard touchdown run from Ahmad Bradshaw's with 2:48 remaining in the first half, but didn't score again after that.
