COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Julian De Guzman scored what turned out to be the winning in the 83rd minute Saturday in Toronto FC's 4-2 victory over Columbus.

Danny Koevermans added a stoppage-time goal to head off any hopes the Crew had of coming back. Nick Soolsma and Ryan Johnson also scored for Toronto.

TFC (5-12-12) won despite losing goalkeeper Stefan Frei to a second-half injury that had him hobbling on crutches on the sideline.

Eastern Conference-leading Columbus (11-9-7) got goals from Heinemann and Mendoza.
