SEATTLE, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Seattle goalie Kasey Keller scored an own-goal and Alvaro Saborio also tallied Saturday in Real Salt Lake's 2-1 victory over the Sounders.
Seattle (13-6-9) put itself in the hole in the 12th minute when Keller scooped the ball into his own net while the Sounders were up a man due to a red card against Tony Beltran.
Fredy Montero tied the contest at 1-1 for the Sounders in the 45th, controlling a cross from Mauro Rosales then beating Nick Rimando from 12 yards.
Rosales had missed a penalty kick earlier in the half.
Saborio, however, got the game-winner 10 minutes into the second half for RSL (13-7-6), collecting a loose ball inside the area and finding the net.
Salt Lake moved to within three points of Seattle for second place in the Western Conference with the victory.
