Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Shalrie Joseph and Rajko Lekic scored New England Saturday, sending the Revolution to a rare win, 2-0 over FC Dallas.
Joseph got his ninth goal of the season in the 14th minute when he headed Monsef Zerka's cross into the bottom-right corner. Lekic added an insurance goal in the 85th minute when he headed in a pass from Ryan Cochrane for his sixth goal this year.
It was just the fifth victory for New England this season. Despite the lack of success the Revolution are now 5-11-12 and stand a chance off making the playoffs.
FC Dallas (13-8-7) lost for the third time in its last five games.
