
WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Carlos Corporan drove in three runs and the Houston Astros scored six times during the third inning Saturday, bouncing Washington 9-3.
Corporan's RBI bunt single capped the third-inning uprising, in which the Astros sent 11 men to plate and banged out seven of their 16 hits.
Jason Bourgeois went 3-for-5 with an RBI, while Carlos Lee, Chris Johnson and Angel Sanchez each contributed two hits for the Astros, who evened their three-game set at Nationals Park.
Wandy Rodriguez (11-10) earned the victory, yielding three runs on seven hits over six innings. He struck out seven without issuing a walk.
Washington's John Lannan (9-12) lasted only 2 1/3 frames, allowing six runs (four earned) on eight hits. His own throwing error allowed two runs to score in the third.
Michael Morse went 2-for-4 with a solo homer for the Nats.
