U.S. Open men's play rained out

NEW YORK, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Fourth-round U.S. Open men's tennis action scheduled for Tuesday was postponed due to rain.

The schedule included matches involving second-seeded Rafael Nadal, fourth-seeded Briton Andy Murray and American star Andy Roddick.

Nadal was set to face unseeded Gilles Muller of Luxembourg, Murray was supposed to meet American Donald Young and Roddick was scheduled to take on David Ferrer.

Play was set to resume 11 a.m. Wednesday, even though more rain was in the forecast.
