DENVER, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Troy Tulowitzki's home run highlighted a seven-run eighth inning that carried the Colorado Rockies past Arizona 8-3 Tuesday.
Tulowitzki's three-run shot proved to be the decisive blow, ending Arizona's three-game winning streak and hanging the Diamondbacks with only their second loss in their last 14 contests.
Jordan Pacheco had two hits and two RBI in his first Major League game and Seth Smith hit two triples.
Matt Belisle (10-4) was credited with the win for getting the final out in the eighth inning. Starter Jason Hammel gave up two runs -- one earned -- on six hits and six strikeouts over seven innings.
David Hernandez (3-3) took the loss after being bounced around in the eighth. He was charged with five runs on five hits in 2/3 of an inning.
Arizona led 3-1 until the bottom of the eighth when the Rockies pushed seven runs across with two outs.
