ASHBURN, Va., Sept. 5 (UPI) -- It looks like Rex Grossman will start at quarterback for Washington when the Redskins open the 2011 season against the New York Giants.
Various media are reporting Grossman has beat out John Beck for the starting job with Coach Mike Shanahan telling the signal-callers during the weekend.

Washington picked up Grossman, formerly of the Chicago Bears, last season to back up Donovan McNabb, then signed him to a one-year contract during the off-season.
Grossman, 31, started the final three games last season, going 1-2. In four games last season, he completed 74-of-133 passes for 884 yards with seven touchdowns and four interceptions.
